• "The Ceramic Spectrum: A Simplified Approach to Glaze and Color Development" by Robin Hopper Glaze formulations, technical.

• "The Mad Potter of Biloxi : The Art and Life of George E. Ohr" by Garth Clark, Robert A. Ellison, Eugene Hecht One of my favorites, great pictures, and stories of the mad man himself.

• "The Potter's Dictionary of Materials and Techniques" by Frank Hamer, Janet Hamer (Contributor) This is your need to know book on Materials, Defects, Techniques, History...it's a Dictionary.
