Each piece of Raku Art is uniquely painted by fire; signed and dated by Master Raku Artist, William K. Turner. All the colors on Raku Art come from the raku process. William is a one of the best at copper matte reduction raku, which is the Western technique of raku fired ceramics.

Incredible Finish - online pics don't begin to do it justice

I've been a raku fan for years and have some gorgeous raku pots but this is a truly unique finish. I got the "Oriental Grass Raku" which is a stunning varied matte raku finish with high gloss almost metallic looking blades of grass on the pot. The V pot is tall with an elongated oval opening that anyone can get their hand in fully. Big enough base that you are not worried about stability. This is a very stable, well made pot. Raku is very hard to get consistency on colors and finish - and while I know all pieces are unique, I was rather impressed at how much this does look like the online version. kudos for managing that level of consistency.
The variation on colors is great, lots of variation with those stunning purples and pinks that I love so much in raku. And the variation seems crisp rather than muddy.
I highly recommend this to anyone who wants a gorgeous raku pot.
